Behind the Scenes of Having a YouTube Channel with Natalie Barbu

Natalie is one of my favorite YouTubers and one of the reasons I started my own YouTube channel (link below 😉)! She is such an inspiration to so many women, much like myself. Her channel is authentic and transparent in every way possible. Her motivation on taking chances on your dreams, finding what you love and following through is extremely refreshing.

Natalie was in high school when she started her YouTube Channel 8 years ago – crazy! She has come a long way, learned a lot and truly built her own empire. Interviewing Natalie was effortless because she is such a delight, such a breath of fresh air and all things real. Here are some moments in the podcast that Natalie truly shined and showed her authentic self that many creatives can relate to! You will love her just as much as we do – If you haven’t been following her already!

You began your YouTube Channel early in life, what have you learned and what are some doubts you had along the way?“Starting something creative has zero risk and so much reward. Even if it doesn’t make you money, even if it doesn’t become a job  - you are going to have that creative outlet that is going to help you out so much in life. If I didn’t have YouTube or my podcast or any socials - I would be so miserable. I have been happily doing this without getting paid for a lot of years and I never expected to go full time, so for me this was always a creative outlet”.

Natalie is such a great example of not giving up on what you love. She has a degree in Industrial Engineering, and she makes it very clear that a degree alone doesn’t make you happy. This statement resonates with SO MANY of us. While education is extremely important, following your passion leads to true happiness.

“What others say about you shows much more about them then it does you” – Natalie This is everything. Natalie's passion started young, and we all know how high school can be. She had posted a video and kids being kids, made fun of her and ultimately resulted in her taking a long break from creating videos. She talks about this being one of her biggest regrets – caring what other people think and letting it take a toll on her passion. Haters are always going to hate, whether you are 15 or 40 years old. This is such an inspirational quote to live by, for anyone. Follow your dreams and push yourself, because at the end of the day your happiness is absolutely the most important thing and you are your biggest critic – adios to any negativity.

How do you decide on a video and what is the process?Something that we love about Natalie is how much she incorporates her subscribers. She takes the time to really read all her comments from her audience and takes their questions and inquiries to heart. She is truly here for her fans and tries to incorporate their wants and needs into who she is as a brand.
